 Originally conceived as a tele-play, "The Uncertainty Principle" is designed to captivate audiences in the tradition of classic investigative and conspiracy thrillers from the 1970s, like "The Conversation" and "All The President's Men."

Set against the backdrop of one fateful night, the film skillfully explores how a mere span of hours can intricately shape the trajectory of an individual's life, forever altering the course of their destiny.

The facts


After tragedy struck his life, Ticu Ionescu decides to resume his work, as a Particle Physicist, in a  small university laboratory.

One evening, he receives the latest results from the most recent run of a particle collision experiment and notices that some of the energy of the impact is missing, results which may be proof of extra-dimensions outside our reality. As the particle accelerator has just been closed down, he decides to validate the tests the same evening, with the reluctant help of his two friends, Tudor and Costa, who believe Ticu's findings may have a perfectly reasonable scientific explanation. But are they right?

Our film has received particular critical acclaim from Jean-Marie Frère, top particle physicist at ULB Brussels who praised the subject matter and the difficult questions the movie asks, as well as the incredible timing of our movie's release which, he believes, "perfectly captures the zeitgeist in our search for the most fundamental truths of our existence."

The mission


Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment in quantum mechanics that introduces a paradox illustrating the strange nature of particles at the quantum level. Proposed by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935, the scenario involves a cat placed in a sealed box with a radioactive atom, a Geiger counter, a vial of poison, and a hammer. If the Geiger counter detects radiation, the hammer is triggered, breaking the vial and releasing the poison, causing the cat's demise. However, until the box is opened and observed, according to quantum principles, the cat exists in a superposition of being both alive and dead. This paradox challenges our classical intuition and highlights the peculiar and fascinating aspects of quantum superposition and the role of observation in determining reality at the quantum level
